Grounded in JAZZ and LATIN Music, Laurie vibrates with a bright, lyrical, sensual sound. Singing everything, from Jobim to Monk, from Blues to Beatles, Laurie brings to each melody depth, originality and soul. Her LATIN repertoire encompasses Afro-Cuban, Brazilian and more. Extending beyond jazz and Latin music to WORLD music, she performs in genres as diverse as French chansons, Afro-pop, Ladino, cabaret, Mid-Eastern, klezmer, Greek rebetika, Slavic folk, and beyond.

Composing music as well as singing, Laurie is equally at home in genres as diverse as American jazz, bossa nova, Afro-Cuban, & neo-soul. Her original Afro-Cuban jazz composition ‘Just Enough’ can be heard at www.latinlingoband.com.

Laurie performs around the San Francisco Bay Area at such venues as Cafe Pink House Jazz Club in Saratoga, The Seahorse in Sausalito, The Terrace Room in Oakland, Angelica’s in Redwood City, Geoffrey’s Inner Circle in Oakland and more.

Laurie brings with her the best instrumentalists, and can appear accompanied by piano or guitar, as part of a trio, or with a full band.
